Almost certainly you want smaller than 150. 150 includes all the people a given person knows, including distant friends and relations etc. You need to consider “spare capacity”, not maximum capacity, unless you’re assuming no one involved has outside relationships of any kind.
I’ve observed in companies that once you get past about 50 people you’ve maxed out the spare “human relationships” capacity of all the people involved. I’d guess that intentional communities probably work best well under 150 as well.
