Kenny Tan is currently a sophomore at Vanderbilt University, majoring in Economics, with a minor in Computer Science and Financial Economics. Kenny founded the Young Americans for Liberty chapter at Vanderbilt within the first weeks of his arrival on campus. In addition to making the YAL chapter at Vanderbilt one of YAL’s most active chapters nationwide, Kenny also serves in Vanderbilt Student Government as the Area Representative for Alumni Lawn. He is currently a senior columnist for the Vanderbilt Torch, the conservative/libertarian monthly campus publication, and a staff reporter and opinion columnist for the Vanderbilt Hustler, the semiweekly official campus newspaper.
Tony discovered seasteading while researching Panarchism and thought it was absolutely brilliant. Shortly afterwards, while working toward an MPA at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he became the Institute”s first intern.

I’ve got a decent number of big ideas I want to see executed and this is the crowd to take them to…seasteading only has a couple of decades before it really blows up, so if I want to be known as one of the visionaries, as one of the harbingers of a radical new world paradigm.”
