Ambassadors / Germany

Bjoern Christian Wolf

LinkedIn – Facebook

Bjoern Christian Wolf is a recent graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, currently living in Germany. While at LSE, he founded TEDxLSE and organized a start-up competition for students (European Student Startups). His political beliefs focus on freedom, civil liberties and voluntary market-based exchange. He was elected President of the LSE Hayek Society and a frequent visitor at the Adam Smith Institute and the Institute of Economic Affairs. Bjoern believes seasteading will lead to enormous waves of innovation – especially in areas that have been hindered by states so far, such as flexible payment methods – and will ultimately further human progress.

“Seasteading combines the dynamics of the start-up world with political possibilities classical liberals could only dream of. Their existence will set free productive potential and force established governments to become more competitive.”

Philipp Kalwies

Berlin – LinkedIn

Philipp Kalwies is a entrepreneur from Hamburg, northern Germany. He began a study of international economics at the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg, but quit in order to pursue a career as an entrepreneur in Hamburg, giving sales trainings for sellers and taking responsibility for the promotional marketing of big hardware companies. As an anarcho-capitalist from birth, yearning for liberty, he always wanted to build his own anarchistic state. When he incidentally found seasteading he was immediately in favor of it and organized a talk by the Institute’s founder Patri Friedman in Hamburg. In 2010 he organized the largest libertarian conference ever in Germany, at which Patri also spoke. Philipp has written articles for libertarian magazines and also gave a talk about seasteading to 250 members at the annual academy of the high IQ society Mensa in Germany. In 2011 he will speak again.
