First Tahitian Seasteading Gathering a Triumph!

Many thanks to all of you who were able to attend the First Tahitian Seasteading Gathering …

… two epic weeks of breathtaking site visits, deep engagements with local cultural, spiritual, and political leaders, great food, and traditional music. The conference was a watershed event with top global leaders in all of the fields critical to realizing the future of floating islands in French Polynesia.

Special thanks to our distinguished speakers: Vice President Teva Rohfritsch, Tony Hsieh, Wang Chang Ming, Jim Von Ehr, J. English Kalani, Jacques Rougerie, Pauline Sillinger and Lenick Perennou, just to name a few.

President Édouard Fritch addresses the gathering of old and new Seasteaders during the reception at the Presidential Palace.

Left to right: Designer Onyx Lauren, CEO of Blue Frontiers Randy Hencken, Senator J. Kalani English of the Hawaii Senate, Heremoana Maamaatuaiahutapu (Minister of Environment and Culture), Jean-Christophe Bouissou (Minister of Housing), Tea Frogier (Minister of Research), Teva Rohfritsch (VP), and President Édouard Fritch.

The team visited the sacred sites in the Papenoo Valley and left offerings for a fortuitous project at the sacred Marae Fare Hape site.

Closing the conference, we celebrated with our local friends and collaborators during a reception hosted at the Presidential Palace.

“It is from the ocean that will be born the destiny of civilizations to come.”
