Over 20 years of experience in the intelligence-security field. Seven of these years were in various aspects of military intelligence, with 2 additional years in the infantry -- 2 tours in Viet Nam. In addition to serving as the battalion intelligence NCO, I was also the assistant operations NCO.
My security experience spans the fields of retail, industrial, airport, nuclear powerplant, and building security. For several years I was a self-employed security consultant. For 2 years, I was the CEO of my own corporation, but closed the business when I realized I was spending more time reading government regulations and filling out forms than performing business functions.
I am qualified with both the M-14 rifle and M-16 auto-rifle, and the M-60 machinegun. I have been familiarized with M-72 LAW (light anti-tank weapon), 3.5-inch rocket launcher, M1911 automatic pistol, various explosives and explosive devices, 12-gauge riot shotgun, and M-79 grenade launcher. I have qualified several times with the .38-calibre revolver on the police combat pistol range.
B.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, with a minor in Geography. At one time I had studies for an M.S. in Environmental Sciences.
I am an amateur woodworker (interested in boat construction), writer, and photographer.
