-
I'd like to live in a republic solid enough to sustain democracy within. A non-materialistic, non-dialectical, non-collectivist one.

I do not want to live in a meritocracy, because it never gets there. We will get stuck with articulate self-righteous jerks.

The greatest mistake every new revolution makes is losing control of the context. We cannot allow that to happen. It is the nature of media and media users to reduce and fit what they see to what they already know. The transition must be seamless. While we move to a new frontier let us bring the sea to them as well.

I see no reason why this can only be done in the ocean. The Great Lakes and other bodies of water can be a good introduction for our compatriot landlubbers. Those who seek to profit from division and violence will be looked upon as madmen, "President RoboCheney wants to invade the sea people. Nutjob." We know how history proceeds. The time to prevent a contextual gap is now.

I believe we need to do the following things:

Favor language over culture. Man shapes culture. Culture shapes language. Language shapes man. Culture is a tool. Two people can have culture. Subculture is poison. It divides people into exploitable markets and easily terrorized subgroups which will often be pitted against each other.

If we do not succeed in beginning it, it will be an honorable disappointment. If we succeed and do not protect our future against the same old historical progression, we will have no one to blame but ourselves. If we manage to thrive we may prevent the God vs God worst case that already hovers over all the corners of the Earth.

Our efforts will have a draining effect on the uniform mindless support binary for politics and God forbid, warfare. Already there are three main regions to the Earth. Two of them are always at war. Becoming the fourth arm will break the grip on humanity that war and corporate communism have had for so long.

We should have at least 3 to 5 languages. Beat the culture clash cycle. Language first. Start with pluralism before it becomes a tool for conflict. We must divide into natural subgroups before others divide us. We must embrace diversity before it arrives angry and confused. We must not be surprised. History is almost a constant. Let us not fail to be prepared for it.

No central ruling authority. A two tiered council of seasteads will suffice. And locally virtual cantons where we can elect or hire govt officials from abroad (not at the highest levels of course). Also I believe that govt should grow and contract in a regular cycle. No long bureaucratic development projects. Every office shall have a treasury, an executive, and a court. The treasury is the entire documentation library of whatever that office is responsible for. It's not the bank, but the very substance of that office. The executive will focus resources to what the treasury declares to be necessary. The court shall say whether a project is being followed according to the definitions in the treasury. When any treasury, executive, or court begins to grow quickly it shall be split into three parts as well. When emergencies pass and tasks are accomplished the split offices shall be reassimilated into one. No more than three splits shall occur without a contraction.
