- What kind of society are you interested in living in?
-
I'm mostly libertarian by nature, but very interested in direct democracy and alternative forms for representative government. It would take too long to expain my ideas here, so I will explain on the forums. I do feel self-sufficiency is important, especially for critical resources, but trade is just as important. I don't believe such a new society should be isolated; in fact, such isolation would, in my view, guarantee failure. I have thought about the concept of seasteading in one form or another for 20 years, but never actively participated. Guess I'm just ready to get out of my shell. Small close nit communities can do miracles in a short period of time, but you must be willing to give up much privacy, and it just isn't for everyone. In my experience most people are just too judgemental of their neighbors to survive in such a commuity. But if you can find such people, I think living among those brave enough to make such a leap would be an incredible experience. I can only imagine the wonderful conversations we would have over dinner...

- General Skills
I am a computer programmer by trade, and am very skilled in my practice. I currently own my own business here in the Philippines. But I have always had an interest in manufacturing processes and as such have studied machining and other manuacturing techniques. Won't say I'm any good at it, but I do know the basics. I'm am a technology junky, usually making special note of any and all technologies that would be usefull for self-sufficiency or small communities, such as seasteading. I follow almost all of the free engery sites and forums. I'm also very interested in escaping "the new world order", and see seasteading as one possible option. Although I am an American, I'm currently enjoying my freedom here in the Philippines. I also enjoy organic gardening, although I haven't had the place to do that in many years. Hope to change that soon. I am a very hands on person and when I was in the states did my own auto repair and home construction. I love to cook as well and may someday open my own resteraunt.
