Mooring, Positioning and Transportation
Early shipsteads, such as Blueseed, will need to maintain their relative position in the ocean in the face of wind, waves and currents, which would otherwise shift their location. Possible solutions include mooring cables attached to the ocean floor (although this becomes harder in deeper international waters), azipod motors that serve as a counteracting force, and kites or sails that allow a ship to move in a circle with miminal energy consumption.
Both people and material goods will need to travel from the shipstead/seastead to shore, which creates numerous logistical challenges. Entrepreneurs will need guidance on how to move cargo to and from the ship in choppy waters, and to navigate coastal government inspections.
