First off, let me say I’m glad this thread is still going. When I started reading it, I assumed after 2 years it would have derailed significantly.
As for substeading vs. SOB (yes, I love that acronym), wouldn’t it make more practical sense to proceed with the original plan on land with the concrete structures anchored just off shore? It seems that attempting to condense the food production facilities enough to fit into a sub raises the hurdle further than is necessary. I would think developing and refining the food production on land would be a much more realistic approach.
I’ve really enjoyed followning this conversation. It’s refreshing to see people actually doing something rather than endless speculation and planning.
