My name is Ron.

I'm 60 y.o.

I have a BS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Purdue University, with a minor in Geography. At one time I was reading for an MS in Environmental Sciences.

I am a partially disabled veteran with 9 years of military service, including 2 tours in Viet Nam. Two of my 9 years was in the infantry. Seven years were served in various areas of military intelligence.

I have over 20 years of experience in the intelligence-security field, involving retail, industrial, nuclear powerplant, airport, and building security. In addition, I have also been responsible for communications and physical security at military instillations. Also, I have been responsible for the safeguarding and transportation (armed) of classified documents and materials.

My personal interests are in aquaculture, woodworking (with a strong interest in boatbuilding), creative and expositionary writing, photography, and political science.

My favourite author is Robert A. Heinlein.

The reason I joined Seasteading was in the hope that I could someday realize a life of liberty -- true freedom. I have been thinking along the same lines ever since I first saw the movie Waterworld. Yes, the plot was innane, but the general idea of being free of excessive government was strongly appealing to me.

My vision of a sea-bourne community is a bit different from the ideas expressed by many of you. Some of you present me with new ways of looking at such a community. But, I believe our goals are generally the same. I look forward to exchanging our visions and ideas in creating a successful new society.
