Does anyone want to comment on why seasteading would be a dream of yours? I'm still looking for stories.
Thanks,

Oh, hi
Here's a short I wrote from the perspective of a young Pacific islander:
It is that time again at last: the Ivory Towers are coming to our islands very soon. Papa Tui says they should be there this evening. I never got to see them myself yet, for they tour the archipelagos of the Pacific one at a time, mooring down for the rain season, moving during dry season, and I was not yet born when they last anchored in our waters.
Mama told me they look like the floating bones of some giant animal, dried white in the sharp sun, some of them covered with foliage like it were their hair, others smoking of some inner secret fire, and tied together as if entangled in a net lost by a giant fisher. Everywhere they go, boats, planes and birds accompany them like tiny parasites swarming over and around.
She says the spectacle becomes even more fascinating at night, when they illuminate and glitter in the gentle waves, eclipsing the stars from the sky. She also said they will host a party and launch fireworks on their first day here, I can't wait !
There's excitement and laughter in the air. Everyone seems to have stocked up on grain, smoked fish, nuts and meat in advance. The floating people will bring us better seeds, books, shellfish and new clothes, and we can use their water and power machines, watch their TV, listen their musics, while our young learn many of their techniques. Papa Tui said that if we give them enough food they will leave one of the floating tower here, that will make fresh water and electricity for us, over years.
