Start building a physical community

I would like to propose the formation of a community of small businesses who are aligned and affiliated under The Seasteading Institute (in conjunction with the design of the physical sea base) in order to solidify community based resources. Businesses who affiliated under the Seasteading Institute would likely range across industries, and should potentially form a self sustaining financial/industrial  network aligned under the goal of growing beyond a business association into fully functioning society. This could both generate real money to sustain the project, and act as a test run to gauge the specifics about self sustainability, community size and culture and develop expectations about its place in the international economy. This would also increase the number of jobs that the institute could advertise which would appeal to and engage people who exist outside of the high-tech sector, while not lying within the institutes financial burden as they would exist  under independent but affiliated businesses. The institute would need to develop terms and agreements of such an affiliation towards the end of building a tight network with financial benefits, and then focusing profits towards the “purchase” of seastead shares, or some such thing. If this idea appeals to anyone, it ought to be added to the wiki and broken down into details which can be developed at length. Thank you in advance for any feedback.EW
