What just happened to my comment?
Editing did not work properly…
June 21, 2010 at 5:38 pm #10525I do feel your pain. Well, let’s just quit then. Just because for the last 40 yrs a bunch of m_fkers messed it up for all of us. Why bother w /the Oceanic Citizen Republic, or OSDI or TSI or this conversation. Lets just forget about it.
June 22, 2010 at 8:18 am #10531I can’t quit. Without the illusion or delusion of the possibility that I, we, any who still have the will and the wherewith all to sail away could, there would be nothing left but… Being fore-sworn, I can’t even utter or type the word. ‘That’ can’t be the answer anyway. ‘That’ would only weaken us to the point that we couldn’t defend ourselves for foreign aggression and then we really would be fucked! To do nothing, to quit is easy enough but I can’t do that and neither should you Ocean. Seasteading, the last best hope…
June 22, 2010 at 2:57 pm #10534That’s the spirit, mate!
June 25, 2010 at 4:18 am #10553So here we have a universal flag!

It is the spirit of many nations flags.
the tree stripes are quite common amongst all.
colors of nation flags are varied.
black gray and white includes no color, neutral color, and all color.
also it represent how we start as nothing and rise to everything.
and that we have mixing to have balanced perspective.
galactically it represent the union of the empire, the priesthood and the federation.
on a planetary scale,
the deep, the surface and the sky.

June 27, 2010 at 4:03 pm #10585Tell her about it, tell her everything you feel, give her every reason to accept that you’re for real, tell her about it, tell her all your crazy dreams…

Rather than rehash, let me refer you to the second comment in this thread, and the links included.

June 27, 2010 at 9:38 pm #10592If we could add the Jolly Roger’s skull and bones in the midlle of the black stripe, I might go for it!

I looked at the Constitution for Aquia.
It seems like there are lots of restrictions,
lots of things “not to do”.
and doesn’t seem like anything is allowed.

Sure you can have that as a symbol for your personal tribe.
Having the same background will let others know your allegiance.
The Jolly Roger’s a sure sign of “pirates” even if they are George Bush.
Also the bones focus on human remains,
so don’t make it seem safe.
If someone is doing a bandit campaign,
it’s better they do it under the jolly roger.
If someone wants to seastead on the ocean peacefully,
then a peaceful, neutral flag such as the blackk white and gray,
can give it that kind of protection.
most navies will give it a glance,
and might confuse it for another nation,
like russia, germany or bulgaria,
especially if it’s foggy.
or perhaps some african or south american nation.
so pass it by without another glance.
A jolly roger might incite the fury of their biggest cannons.
So remember the flag you use, affects how others react.

Reread it and you will notice that all of the restrictions are on confiscatory power and the monopolization of law and defense. That leaves limitless freedom for all peaceful property holders and their guests. In other words, every peaceful activity is permitted on and with one’s own property.

that’s still negative.

freedom is only mentioned once, in the preamble.
peace isn’t mentioned at all.
