I signed up for this. I’m a fan of Reason anyway, and already attended one of their conferences, so seeing them team up with TSI seemed like a good deal to me.
Anyone else going?
30 January to 6 February, 2011. Cruise begins and ends in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Not I, but might I recommend you consider live-blogging/tweeting the seasteading-related events, or consider posting any juicy tidbits you hear when it’s over?
Of course, if you’d rather have fun on the cruise instead of bothering with all that, can’t blame you there either.
Is anyone interested in cruise-pooling (sharing rooms to save on money)? I’ve started a public Google Doc in case anyone is interested. Or if anyone knows of better ways to gather information like this, I’m totally open to hearing it. Here’s the doc:

I’ll be glad to report on it once it’s over, but I’m pretty old school when it comes to new technology. All graphics should be ASCII graphics, darn it! Probably won’t be tweeting.

I already signed up, but if you could arrange it – I’d be happy to share a cabin with 1, 2, or 3 other people. When I travel I mostly stay in hostels, so it won’t be any hardship for me – especially for only 1 week. The cabin will have to be larger than the one I spent two nights in crossing the Black Sea – with 3 cabin mates, only one of whom spoke any English.
Great! I PM’ed you.

I’m in the terminal and waiting to board. Internet rates on the ship are quite unreasonable, so I’ll let y’all know how it went once I get back.
It was a great week.
I’m at the airport waiting to go home, and have been chatting with a few of the seasteading types from the cruise.
Patri and James gave a great presentation, and I think a lot of the Reasonoids were surprised at how much sense seasteading makes.
More to follow, especially if questions are asked….
Was great meeting you Alan!!
Also nice to put two and two together re: your forum identity — I didn’t do so on the cruise but now remember seeing your userpic for a long time

Likewise. I love electronic communications, but it’s also good to meet people in person.
It was great meeting everyone in the seasteading group – whether employees or just interested parties.
Hmmm. Eventually I’ll go through my photos and such….
