Hello.
Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Peter Zandvliet, and I am an IT Specialist who currently lives in Connecticut, USA. I have been interested in seasteading for years, since I first read an artical (Popular Mechanics?) that detailed a proposed mobile sea city that could function automonously and slowly traverse the globe. Since then I have read many more ideas and as a Libertarian, the idea of living on a small island in international waters has been, to say the least, intrigueing.
Does that mean I am beyond hope of reforming the broken US system of government? Not at all. I remain proud to be american, I just often find myself annoyed how the size of politics effectively keeps the system from ever working well.
Anyways, I guess I got off point. The biggest reason I am interested in seasteading is simple. I think it will be an adventure.
Peter Zandvliet
at least somebody still has ‘hope’.
