As government has grown over the last couple years sales of Atlas Shrugged have been going up. I just checked now and on Amazon.com the sale rank is 65, which means only 64 books have higher sales rates. I think this indicator means that interest in seasteading should be increasing.

People reading any Rand is a good thing, but I personally prefer Fountainhead. I found Atlas Shrugged to be extremely repetitive.
Almost all the anarchists I know have been influenced by Rand in some way.
Revolution starts in the mind.
I don’t know whether I have some form of dyslexia or if it solely my religious upbringing but nearly everytime when I see the word “anarchist” I read it as “antichrist”, until I do a double take and make the word read correctly. This has little, if anything, to do with the topic, but just wanted you to know that there is at least one person out there that, at least briefly, sees no difference between the two concepts.
Please do with that information whatever you deem fit.

“We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law” – Latter Day Saint Article of Faith #12.
My main point was just an off hand comment on how my brain wanted to interpret that word upon initially reading it, but I suppose their could be more of a subconscious thing going on there for me, as you so state with your reference to the scriptures.

Initially, I do think its a visual thing, a trick of the minds eye but on the other hand, whoever made up the word was really a very, very sharp person! When I was in college I used to post poetry on the bulletin boards and kiosks under the pen-name “Anarchist of ’69″. I was an Anarchist because I’d been rebelling against authority since ’69 when I started school. I had to write disclaimer after disclaimer until I finally realized that to really ‘BE’ an anarchist you necessarily ARE anti-Christ and worse, an atheist! After studying the works of Bakunin, Kropotkin and other anarchist ‘Crack-pots’ it was pretty clear that they were nuts! That’s why most atheists and anarchists aren’t. True ‘atheists’ and ‘anarchists’ are sociopaths…
To get back on topic, Ann Rand was neither!
you take Romans 13:1-7 literally…
