Ancient Man, humans like you really scare me, because of the actions you would take to influence the lives of others with no reality to back up your decisions.

You say “Security and fighting are different things. There are security guys in every corporation, yet you can’t call it fighting”, as if those guys are not there to physically assault someone who breaks the rules. Do you not read the news past the headlines? There’s police abuse everywhere, and the police are there to protect you?

You completely lost the train of thought when you said “Of course, it would be smarter for current owners to tax the island, except there’s nothing to tax. And unless they sell it, they won’t receive any money”, because i said “Wouldn’t it be smarter for the current owners to let you use the island and tax you for it?”, which explicitly stated “let you use the island” before “tax you for it”, which strongly implies you put something there to tax when they let you use the island, in the order i stated. It’s stunning to me that i must point this out, but it’s not uncommon that it needs pointing out.

And i never said i want to escape civilisation, but i do not want to put myself into a situation where someone has a store near me for the sole purpose of making money off me, or own a pack of rottwilers they are allowed to turn loose on me, or pay taxes for a police force to tell me they cannot do anything about the dogs or gunfire. This is NOT civilization, by the definition of “civil”.

You say “and I seriously doubt government would try to enforce something on you, if you make a small house in the middle of nowhere without permission”, to which i can only say “try it”. I have, it’s not for no reason i want out of this place, and i have stated i have been in every state in the contiguous usa, and they are all alike. I have no destination in mind, i just want out.

As for “As much as Diamond Shoals or Frying Pan are isolated —- Why not choose some lesser known location? Famous places attract people.”, i didn’t choose anything. The two places i site are away from humans by 10 miles or more, and at sea. I even rnigyweilughlegkugylwi said i wouldn’t live on them permanently. And i said why. Any place i can get to, so can someone else. The only thing i have even the remotest chance of controlling is the time i am there is not the time they are there, which is why i have repeatedly said “drifting”. I only said those towers could have a place in seasteading, where interfacing to the mainland could happen.

Talking to you is like talking to an Eliza bot, and an example of why i shun humans more every day.

This is not about engineering any more, you are not going to change me or anything that’s happened to me, so please leave me alone, Ancient Man. Having said that, i’d put money on you redoubling your efforts to influence me.

Police is not a corporation that I meant to describe. I was talking about industrial, hi-tech etc. Sure, there are security guys, but they do not attack you, if you do not try to infringe on the premises or steal something from the inside. Apple is one of the most totalitarian corporations, yet I haven’t heard of their security guys physically fighting with employees. Let’s not forget about information security. Are you saying internal IT staff also assaults employees?
There’s always a risk of abuse, such is life. By becoming a hermit you don’t mitigate that risk to zero, and you bring in new risks. In the end, no one is making you to become a citizen of some new country. You don’t like new country and don’t trust its police — make your own, where there’s no rules. Or live by yourself… There are many people in the world who live illegally in the boreal forest or in the mountains, or look at tuaregs in the deserts.

implies you put something there to tax when they let you use the island, in the order i stated. It’s stunning to me that i must point this out, but it’s not uncommon that it needs pointing out.

I didn’t comment on it because it’s trivial. If you plan to buy sovereign land, don’t put anything on it. It’s common sense, if you put something there, then it only increases land’s value and you’ll have to pay more in the future.

but i do not want to put myself into a situation where someone has a store near me for the sole purpose of making money off me, or own a pack of rottwilers they are allowed to turn loose on me, or pay taxes for a police force to tell me they cannot do anything about the dogs or gunfire.

Sure, but that’s limiting of your own freedom. You deny yourself freedom to be in those situations, yet you speak as if your proposition about seasteading only gives freedom and mine takes it. Everything has its ups and downs. You trade some freedoms for others, so is the case with country creation, no authority is forced if you choose yourself to live in it.

I have, it’s not for no reason i want out of this place, and i have stated i have been in every state in the contiguous usa, and they are all alike. I have no destination in mind, i just want out.

    Here’s some proof: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lykov_family
Yes, geologists got to them in the end. But god knows how much more hermits are out there in the world, and they don’t need seasteading to live away from others. If you live in desolate regions, pretty much scientists are the only ones who you will meet, if you will even meet anyone.

The only thing i have even the remotest chance of controlling is the time i am there is not the time they are there

You can see when someone comes near if you use motion and infrared sensors by way of solar power.

    I said :

And you did, so i win, fuck you. If you as the vocal member of the “community” here, i don’t want to be on a seastead with you.

    I deleted kirigamiboats.com and floatliving.com.

You go live in the woods and die of starvation and still have people bothering you like the Lykov family. Why in the hell are you telling me, on a seastead site, to go live in the woods??? And why does it seem you and i are the only ones on this site? Hell, i have had enough, i am outa here.

One person died. And that’s because they were living in total isolation, if they were using modern tech, that wouldn’t have happened. You think they were in food deficit all the time, yet two children were born while there. Yes, if you live in isolation and don’t use tech then hunger will happen, like it did before Green Revolution. Also I don’t think you can call 42 years in isolation a bother by people.

Why in the hell are you telling me, on a seastead site, to go live in the woods???

I’m just showing different possibilities, because when I asked you, you said that you want to get away from everyone, which is your primary goal, and not seasteading. You don’t consider living on land as an alternative, and I presented evidence for the contrary. I never told you to live in the woods, I asked you to consider such a case.

I’d rather prey less and drink more. But that’s just me. You should just prey as long as you want and drink as long as you want but keep it to yourself. How the fuck praying is relevant to seasteading?? Or drinking less?? Than who??
Wow!! What the hell are you talking about?

OK, Master Spark. We will pray more and drink less. Since you said that. Any more advice? Please don’t be shy,…Go for it. Would you please advice how often should one pray and how much should one drink? Please, Master Spark!!
