While we’re on the subject of “Jobs” I want to slip something in without sounding the alarm with a fresh new forum topic: Is anyone willing to admit that we have a major disadvantage with a permanent un-elected incumbent as the leader of this organization? Anyone notice that the donations bar hasnt moved in over a month? Articles referencing the web page havent had many new additions? The leadership has done a phenominal job getting this movement… moving. Right now it needs momentum before it loses steam. Is this movement about any one of us? Or is it really about the betterment of society? Not to be a mutineer here, I think I might have a better “model”.

A few people could be chosen to be commissioned “Change Agent”-s. Those people with the right qualities and credentials would earn, let’s say 7% for getting donors to chip in. Not everybody would be encouraged to do this, just a select few who represent the spirit of the cause. I’m thinking every 2 yrs a new leader would be chosen as the head representative for the organization.

I almost expect to get no response from this but, I just didnt want it left unsaid.

    1. Please don’t hijack threads with something this far off the topic of the thread.

    2. If you don’t like the way that TSI is run, feel free to start your own organization.

You don’t have any kind of paid membership (unless you’ve made a donation that hasn’t yet been reflected in a member badge), so why should anyone in TSI care what you think about how the organization should run?

would you “hit and run” Shredd? If you decided to “hit”, then stand by your choice man. There is no “reprimanding” for speaking out. You made a voluntary decision to join the “cause” and your voice matters. This is a “public domain” and you can express your oppinion here. How wise your oppinion was, that’s a totally different matter,….lol. Is it loosing steam…hell yeah. Momentum, nope. Is it about any one of us? Off course. All of us who desire seasteading to become a reality. Or is it about the betterment of society? Nope!. What society?? Which society?? The morons who gave up their rights to “their representatives”, so call governments and now are crying because they got fucked? Ha! The only people we should care about is the “one of us” who want this thing man! The rest,…hey, what can I tell you, they seem to have a different agenda, big house, nice cars, hot girlfriends, …superficial BS.

Is TSI perfect ? Hell no. Far from it. If you don’t like it, as Tim put it, start your own !? Yeap, that’s a choice. But better off, improve it and work with it! But dude!…commissioned ?? Change Agents?? 7 % to get the donors to chip in ?? What the hell are you talking about?? I remember this cats from way back in 2004 when there was no “seasteading” and no $ millions in donations but just a dream, dude. There wasn’t a penny there,…They are not about the money for money’s sake, but about the the money that can get this thing going. My take on it, anyway.

Instead, the questions should be what is the present TSI’s format offering for somebody who wants to participate and be active in seasteading but doesn’t have the $s to “invest” right now.
