    There are businesses that sell yachts and then manage the charter business for the new owners. I think a similar model could work well for seasteads. I think we can have something with the privacy of a yacht, more stability, and cheaper to operate. So we could compete with the regular yacht charter business.     Good thinking. Its always nice to draw direct parallels with existing busines models / technologies. It helps create that ‘yes we can’ feeling :).

    Condo or timeshare rental may be a better model, given that they are a destination, like seasteads. Seasteads do move, but slower than a yacht.

    The purpose of a yacht is mostly mobility in the ocean. You can live in them at a fixed location, but it’s not the main purpose of a yacht. The purpose of a seastead is mostly immobility in the ocean. You can move them, but the main purpose is stationary habitation.
