20 Million Tons of Debris and Trash Headed Towards Hawaii
Hazardous? No doubt.
Legal questions? Who knows if anyone would try to claim anything from the debris.
Instant seastead? That’s an awful lot of free material to work with…
Getting a salvage vessel(s) out there might be an ordeal, but once recovery of materials begins, a rudimentary platform could be constructed while at sea. From that point, it’d be a matter of building it out. I’m game; it’s more productive than Occupying Wall Street.
Good stuff, way more in-depth than I had been thinking! Worth a shot, too. About two years to go until it approaches Hawaii, is there enough time to get a plan and funding together?
Problem is, some, if not all of it is contaminated with radioactive material… Whatcha gonna do about that? Imagine wrking in that heat, in protective suits, while scanning the materials and selecting the stuff you can salvage…
