| vab | Hi, I’m a member of the Free State Project. I moved to New Hampshire from South Boston, recently. I’m a practicing Catholic. I’ve been interested in the liberty movement for a very long time. I read Ayn Rand’s books when I was young and was a member of the Cypherpunks during the 1990′s. I’m also a long time futurist. I attended some of the Foresight Senior Associate gatherings back in the day as well. Currently, I work as a systems administrator/programmer for MIT. And, I own and operate a non-profit that I hope will eventually become an alternative institution to the Centers for Disease Control in the area of medical research funding. I spend most of my non-working time working anonymously on cryptography software, learning about quant finance, and thinking about for profit start-ups. My main interests in sea steading are agorism related, specifically things like anonymous e-cash, prediction markets, alternative perspectives on the value of human life, not having to pay taxes to support welfare recipients, and medical tourism. I haven’t had time to be very involved in the Seasteading Institute because I’ve been very focused on my other interests and the Free State Project. But, I hope to be more involved in the future. I will make every possible effort to attend the next Ephemerisle. I expect to be there. Feel free to connect with my on Facebook, Livejournal, or Twitter. I’m also looking for like minded people to hang out with in the Boston MSA. – VAB |
