    Hello All.

My name is DJ and Im from Virginia. I have been pondering this same idea for close to 10 years now. My first idea was to make a permanent cruise ship, that moved to a new structure that was still boat like only square with an open center, then I thought to use abandoned oil rigs.

Ive always liked the idea of having a community in international waters that could be its own country, as just starting a new country would almost allways create war on land. It could cast aside the idea of having to have a slave class, and base its monetary system on a valued metal such as silver.

I have pages and pages of ideas ranging everywhere from farming/fishing, power/manufacturing, to recreation. Im sure I will share it all with all of you in the near future. I have figgured how to have rural areas to get away from it all (when your already getting away from it all)

I cant wait to hear what others have come up with, as it seems there are others here just as excited as I am. (forgive my spelling)

I’m also in the great state of Virginia. I live in the Shenandoah Valley near Lexington (SW part of VA). Maybe with a few more in the area we could have a meet-up. I’m an old timer on these forums, mostly interested in sustainable living in connection to seasteading. Huge fan of Wil’s concrete subs as the safest and most cost effective option for pulling this off. Have some religious concerns and my company is directly related to US transportation, though I could operate it remotely. Always glad to chat and hear new ideas.

    Live Well!
