When I click the ‘link’ button (tried with both Opera and Chrome. IE will never be tested) nothing happens.
Also, if I don’t do something to space things out (even using combinations of ‘enter’ and ‘shift_enter’) everything mushes together and becomes a whole lot harder to read than if we had actual line breaks.
Well, you have the line break already, by pressing the [enter] button. What you don’t have is paragraph breaks, the html <p> tag. What works for the forum, but not the activity preview page, is putting a & $+ nbsp $+ ; on one line where you want the empty paragraph break line. No idea how this post will be shown.
Ahh, I figured you had a trick!
It’d be nice if it was a bit more WYSWYG though, it’s not like it’s super new technology and it’d be far friendlier for the younger crowds.
Still no luck with the link button though. I suppose I could try another computer but this is the only link button I’ve got that doesn’t work so even if that is the problem it’s certainly an eccentric one.
William, i see what you mean on the links button, it no longer works for me either. I needed a link to wikipedia on the other thread, and had to (oh what a chore!) manually add the html tags. No biggie, but yea, the link button should work, and there whould be a <p> button (or at least let it be allowable) and text colors are pretty basic stuff, etc etc etc..
Glad it’s not just me! I was beginning to think that it was a problem with Wisconsin or something!
I’ve decided I’m just going to keep using my dots to separate lines as a peaceful protest until we stop having all of our extra carriage returns taken away.
Did I just say carriage returns? When did I become old?
