But I really don't understand your comment,....Who are you wondering about being real? The wealthy or the protesters?
The people who put together the website.
Also, do you really think that THE PEOPLE cannot decide their own future without a owner of some sort being around?
No. But just the fact that they are blaming others for their problems indicates that they are not truly willing to take responsibility for their own lives. "people are rising up to claim their rights and demand a true democracy" means expecting others to pay for what they want. If it's anything like the current situation in the U.S., their "rights" are not rights at all. Affordable healthcare is not a "right". Anything that puts an obligation on anyone else is not a "right". That's one of the reasons why the economic situation in the U.S. (and other countries as well) is in the toilet. Politicians have bought into the concept of all of these "rights" (because it increases their power) and are meddling in things that they ought not to be in. And in the U.S., at the federal level these are things they have no constitutional right to be in. (But most politicians don't care about the constitution despite the oath that they take.) And to get from the ranting back to seasteading ... I believe that the situation in the U.S. cannot continue as is indefinitely. I believer that before the tricentennial there is going to be some kind of major change. It could range from the federal government declaring bankruptcy to armed revolution. About the only change that would not be something really ugly would be for people to get a clue and vote in libertarians (small l) who would reverse course while there is still time. But I consider that about the lowest probability. Seasteading provides one way for people to escape the situation. I hope that the catastrophe is far enough yet in the future for there to be major seasteading opportunities available before it arrives.
