If your planing on a seastead fixed to a location you need to be 200 nughical miles away from any EEZ and/or continental shelf. If you are outside the established EEZ but withing 200 naughtical miles your own EEZ would take away part of their EEZ and they WILL do what ever it takes to keep you from being recognized.
