Nope. Imagine a voting on "should we have a group sex". Ten guys vote "for", one girl "against". Should she obey them? If not, is she a hypocrite and a liar? Could the winning majority enforce the result of the vote, "to restore law and order"?

Sure, she could abstain from the vote, but the majority will would still be enforced on her. That's how democracy works. And that's why we have no moral obligations even to democratic states.

You are trying to have your cake and eat it too. You can't take part and in effect be the driving force behind democracy and then complain about what is decided.

The voter taking part is what gives the state its mandate. He or she is the mojo, the juice, the power. If the election turnout is zero the state goes away. By taking part you are pushing it towards 100%.

I agree that democracy sucks. So don't support it by participating.
