Yes, I know these waters very good, E of the Palm Beach Inlet. But as I said, we will be in the Golf Stream,....and @ that point the GS is the closest to shore, 1 mile, and the strongest. When the wind its blowing N, NW (usually the prevaling wind is SE), meaning the wind is blowing from that direction (in nautical terms the wind is always "entering the compass" and the current "exiting the compass") then you will have a condition known as "wind against the current". That will create abnormal waves from all the directions and strong "eddies", secondary currents within the Golf Stream, which makes crossing the GS,...a bitch (local slang). Even during normal conditions is rough and nobody wants to hang out there other than crossing fast to Bahama or Florida. The place to be is in the Keys, somewhere in the vicinity of the Marquesas, 22 nm W of Key West. http://www.bonefishingkeywest.com/marquesas.htm
